On Wednesday, 22 March 2023, Shaviyani Maaungoodhoo School is celebrating its 53rd Anniversary. It is a time to reflect on the School’s past and those that have helped to shape who we are, and to acknowledge the community members, both past and present, who have influenced the character and values that embody the vibrant, engaging, and safe environment we see today. It is an opportunity to laugh, cry, remember, and to praise the memories of this wonderful school. Over the past 53 years, our school had numerous achievements on national and international level. We can see that when we have a look on the Wall of Fame.
Shaviyani Maaungoodhoo School has nurtured an array of responsible citizens and leaders in various fields in our society who have lived up to the motto of the school, “A Tree is Known by its fruits”. Their positive attitudes and willingness to contribute to their alma mater as well as society earn our respect and leave us footsteps to follow in. With the steadfast support from our alumni, parents and staff, our school has progressed in every aspect in the past 53 years. To strive for excellence, I am convinced that Shaviyani Maaungoodhoo School will continue to move onwards with strength and vitality into the challenging years ahead
